See People. Share Love. Serve Neighbors

See People

To See People means first to allow margin in our lives, so that moving through our day with open eyes and an open heart, noticing the individuals God places in our path. It is a posture of attentiveness that asks, “Who needs kindness right now?” rather than “What’s next on my list?” Seeing people invites us to slow our pace just enough to recognize small moments where service matters—where a pause, a smile, or a simple act of help can lighten someone’s load. It is choosing awareness over autopilot and compassion over convenience.

When we See People, service becomes natural and kindness becomes intentional. We begin to notice the tired parent, the overwhelmed worker, the lonely neighbor, or the person struggling quietly beside us. At times, seeing someone may also open the door to prayer—gently asking if we can pray with them and, right there in that moment, lifting their need to God. In doing so, we invite them to be strengthened and empowered by Jesus. Seeing people reminds us that love is often expressed in small, faithful actions that say, “I notice you, God sees you, and you are not alone.”  Maybe the hug made their day! The Holy Spirit will guide you.

Share love

To Share Love means being intentional, consistent, and relational in the way we care for others—often as a family or together with another family. Sharing love begins by asking thoughtful questions like, “What do you really need right now?” and “What would help you most this month?” It is love that listens before it acts.

It looks like committing to show up in practical ways, such as bringing a meal (if long term maybe on the same day each week), creating reliability in the middle of someone’s uncertainty. Sharing love also means following through. We always ask, always listen, and always take action—clearly communicating which part of their need we are able to manage and committing to do it well. This kind of love brings dignity, not dependency, and relief without pressure. Over time, these steady acts of service provide space for healing and renewal. And when the hard season passes, love continues by inviting them into community, where together they can begin sharing love with others who need a helping hand.
