To See People means first to allow margin in our lives, so that moving through our day with open eyes and an open heart, noticing the individuals God places in our path. It is a posture of attentiveness that asks, âWho needs kindness right now?â rather than âWhatâs next on my list?â Seeing people invites us to slow our pace just enough to recognize small moments where service mattersâwhere a pause, a smile, or a simple act of help can lighten someoneâs load. It is choosing awareness over autopilot and compassion over convenience.
When we See People, service becomes natural and kindness becomes intentional. We begin to notice the tired parent, the overwhelmed worker, the lonely neighbor, or the person struggling quietly beside us. At times, seeing someone may also open the door to prayerâgently asking if we can pray with them and, right there in that moment, lifting their need to God. In doing so, we invite them to be strengthened and empowered by Jesus. Seeing people reminds us that love is often expressed in small, faithful actions that say, âI notice you, God sees you, and you are not alone.â Maybe the hug made their day! The Holy Spirit will guide you.
